Why in The Netherlands?

  • Starting this academic year 2007-2008, Dutch students are able to study anywhere in the world and still receive a student grant and loan from the Dutch government
  • They generally speak foreign languages. English, German and French are compulsory subjects during secondary school education. Nowadays, more and more schools also offer Spanish
  • Dutch students are willing to invest in their education, whilst Dutch parents are prepared to invest a considerable amount of money in the future of their children
  • The government encourages teenagers to go on to further education by offering student grants and scholarships and by launching publicity campaigns
